Medina Hospital offers a wide range of surgical services. Whether you require a minimally invasive procedure or a major surgery, our surgical teams are dedicated to providing our patients with excellent care. As an RN on our team, you will provide care for patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. You will perform scrub and circulating functions, prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for surgery and assist the operating physician with surgical tasks.

A caregiver in this role works days + on-call shifts from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with rotating weekend, holiday, and weekday call coverage.
_Caregivers may be asked to float to Park West Eye Center._
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
+ Perform scrub functions (e.g., the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure).
+ Perform circulating functions (e.g., monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patients before, during and after procedure).
+ Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire
+ One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
+ Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
+ Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
+ Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $33.50
Maximum hourly: $53.60
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
