    POSITION DETAILS

    This person in this position will oversee the administrative operation of CCNY's Teaching and Learning Center (TLC). The TLC houses several faculty developments programs, including the college's Writing Across the Curriculum initiative, the Open Educational ·Resources initiative, and on-going individual consultations with faculty who seek pedagogical support. These projects require multiple kinds of administrative support, including ...

     

    -Distribute, collect, and submit Personnel Action Forms for faculty participants

     

    - Support faculty through the payment process for special projects

     

    - Organize events, including scheduling, room reservations, food ordering, set up, and invoice processing

     

    - Develop an understanding of the various branches of the work the TLC supports in order to knowledgably answer inquiries about the TLC's services

     

    - Monitor faculty progress through their individual projects

     

    - Participate in conversations about how to recruit and support faculty in the future

     

    - Monitor communications (phone, email, and other platforms as needed)

     

    - Assist faculty who walk in to the TLC

     

    - Maintain and update our website (training provided)

     

    - Create event flyers and email communication

     

    - Leadership in the Open Educational Resources project, including the Course Conversion Workshop and the Open Publishing Initiative

    - Gathering of data and reporting on:

    + English Composition Assessment

    + English Composition course learning outcome workshops

    + Creative Writing course standardization

    + Assignment Development in the Social Sciences

    + Assignment Development in English

    + Asynchronous Course Development across the curriculum

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's Degree and four years' relevant experience required.

    - Oversees department operations and assists management in planning department activities, creating schedules, assigning staff and preparing and delivering department communications.

     

    - Works with appropriate offices related to personnel recruitment, expediting search activities

     

    - Research coordinates and organizes materials for key events such as promotion and tenure reviews.

     

    - Supervises and trains support staff and student workers.

     

    - Manages budget and coordinates purchasing, accounting, and payroll.

     

    - Provides instructions and basic advice to students, faculty, and others seeking information on department activities, policies, and schedules.

     

    - Performs related duties as assigned.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Salary Range: $68,364 - $76,937. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
