How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The part-time Flight Ops Support - Pilot role provides subject matter expert support to key projects and initiatives within Delta Air Lines Flight Training & Standards. This position is designed for qualified pilots who bring operational experience and insight to support Flight Training on an “as needed" basis. The role requires a strong understanding of FAA Part 121 air carrier operations and expert-level knowledge in specific areas of flight operations and training. This position reports to the DPS Manager of Delta Flight Training Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
+ Provide curriculum, compliance, and training support to Flight Training initiatives.
+ Collaborate with Flight Training support teams to complete assigned project tasks.
+ Offer subject matter expertise and operational insight to training development and procedural reviews.
+ Modify or develop new training materials based on operational needs.
+ Monitor project progress and report status updates to Flight Training leadership.
+ Review and provide feedback on standard operating procedures and training documentation.
+ Perform specific duties as assigned by Flight Training management.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must be a current or former FAA Part 121 pilot with operational experience.
+ Strong understanding of Flight Operations infrastructure and training systems.
+ Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
+ Proficient in Office 365 and Delta/DPS software platforms.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
