Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s). The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care. The Unit Manager assists the Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Texas RN license or RN Compact State license is accepted

+ Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a BSN Degree

+ Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as an RN in specialty area

+ Must have experience hospital experience in a supervisory/management capacity

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) is required

+ Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS)

+ Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Satori Alternatives must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

+ (CEN) Certified Emergency Registered Nurse, or (CPEN) Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse
