Job Description
Position Summary:
The Press and Influencer Fleet Specialist is responsible for supporting the management and operation of GM’s press and influencer vehicle fleet, which includes hundreds of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles located at offices across the country. This role collaborates with fleet partners to ensure seamless vehicle logistics, vehicle readiness, and supports various public relations initiatives to enhance the company’s image through earned media, creator loans, press and media events, paid placements, corporate PR activities, and promotional showcases.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
+ Support the planning and management of the national media and creator vehicle fleet, ensuring operational effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
+ Oversee day-to-day planning, scheduling, and deployment of vehicles for media and creator engagements, test drives, events, and corporate activities.
+ Operationalize fleet strategies and utilization.
+ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and key stakeholders.
+ Supervise fleet partners to ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and readiness to uphold premium presentation and reliability.
+ Assist with vehicle procurement and manage service contracts with vendors and suppliers.
+ Enforce policies regarding fleet usage, safety, and regulatory compliance.
+ Maintain detailed records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and expenses.
Your Skills and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
+ 3-5 years’ experience in communications, public relations, or marketing fleet management; bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Experience in fleet management, logistics, or event coordination preferred.
+ Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
+ Critical thinking skills.
+ Creative, team-oriented, self-motivated, and hardworking with an external perspective and a continuous improvement mindset.
+ High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills for vendor, internal, and executive interactions.
+ Excellent writing skills for clear, concise, and creative communication.
+ Ability to work within budget constraints and tight timelines.
+ Calm and focused under high-pressure situations.
+ Flexibility to travel and work long hours during events.

This role is based remotely, but if the selected candidate lives within a specific mile radius of a GM hub, they will be expected to report to the location three times a week {or other frequency dictated by your manager}.
The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.
