We're seeking a strategic financial professional who will transform complex security financial data into compelling business insights. In this pivotal role, you'll partner directly with security leadership to drive financial planning, uncover critical trends, and shape strategic decision-making across Amazon's dynamic security landscape.
Key job responsibilities
- Craft comprehensive weekly and monthly financial reports that directly influence business strategy and decision-making
- Execute meticulous month-end and quarter-end financial close processes, including precise accruals and reconciliations
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to develop robust financial plans and manage budgets
- Conduct sophisticated ad-hoc financial analyses to help leadership solve complex business challenges
- Design and maintain scalable financial models that provide strategic visibility into key business drivers
A day in the life
Your day will be a blend of analytical deep-diving and collaborative storytelling. You'll translate intricate financial information into clear, actionable narratives that help security leaders make informed decisions. From developing sophisticated financial models to conducting nuanced analyses, you'll be the financial translator bridging technical complexity and strategic vision.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience working with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
