Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer IJob Description

The Manufacturing Engineer I is a dynamic role combining problem-solving, facilitation, innovation, and project management. This position involves both on-floor implementation and project planning, addressing issues as they arise in the designated area. You will assist support personnel in less complex technical matters, making significant contributions to the team.

Responsibilities

+ Implement and manage projects on the manufacturing floor.

+ Coordinate with support personnel such as Technicians, Maintenance, and Tool and Die professionals.

+ Engage in project planning and office tasks related to project management.

+ Facilitate continuous improvement and change process flow.

+ Conduct time studies and evaluate large data sets.

+ Optimize industrial processes through process flow and plant layout improvements.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.

+ 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Project, or Equipment roles.

+ Proficiency in hydraulics.

+ Strong teamwork abilities and a desire to learn and grow with the company.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) or similar work measurement systems.

+ Experience in 3D design, automotive, metalworking, OEM, and CAD.

Work Environment

Our Client's facility is a large manufacturing site specializing in sheet metal production for shelving units seen in major retail stores. The work environment is dynamic and somewhat noisy due to ongoing fabrication and manufacturing processes. The facility houses a team of 10 engineers with varying levels of experience. This first shift opportunity runs from 7 AM to 4 PM. The company offers a flexible work schedule, casual dress code, and a laid-back atmosphere. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middlebury, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.33 - $45.67/hr.
