Job Title: Metrology Technician
Job Description
The Metrology Technician is responsible for calibrating measuring equipment on schedule, aligning with corporate and local requirements. This role involves troubleshooting, problem-solving, and providing project support for measuring equipment across the site. The technician also supports training for lower-level team members.
Responsibilities
+ Calibrate and repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass, and frequency measuring equipment.
+ Lead, conduct, and participate in systematic problem-solving and support cross-functional investigations in all customer areas.
+ Participate in metrology-related projects within the department.
+ Accurately and legibly record all activities in appropriate documentation and write work orders.
+ Lead calibration activities as scheduled, supported by the Metrology Lead.
+ Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
+ Ensure calibration activities are performed according to standards.
+ Operate and handle calibration working standards with care and expertise.
+ Address safety, quality, staffing, or personnel issues and escalate to the Supervisor if necessary.
+ Attain and maintain aseptic cleanroom certification.
+ Identify deviations according to proper procedures for measuring equipment.
+ Provide support to process owners for measuring equipment.
+ Execute work according to schedule and department plan.
+ Evaluate measuring equipment performance and respond to potential issues.
+ Contribute to process confirmations.
+ Maintain training qualifications on time and support training others as required.
+ Support other department roles as needed.
+ Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of four (4) years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience.
+ Minimum of four (4) years of thorough understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
+ Competencies in Calibration, Instrumentation & Controls, Electro-Mechanical systems, and Electronics.
+ Ability to calibrate process and utility instrumentation.
+ Experience using electronic calibration management systems such as SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, ProCal, and MAXIMO.

Work Environment
This position requires working on site five days a week in Clayton, NC. Initially, the role will be based on a construction site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Greenfield project, one of the largest currently happening in North Carolina
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
