Job Title: Product Support EngineerJob Description

As a Product Support Engineer, you will provide technical support and training for prime product installations, assist in the development and maintenance of technical publications libraries, and support the sales and marketing departments with territory service needs. You will travel to various territories to promote and sell prime product parts, services, and related products, acting as a liaison between functional departments and customers for service repairs, modifications, parts returns, and warranty issues.

Responsibilities

+ Provide customers with on-site technical support and training for prime product installations.

+ Assist in executing sales plans, including cold calling and site visits.

+ Serve as a liaison between functional departments and customers for service repairs, modifications, parts returns, and warranty issues.

+ Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts, and collaborate with the accounting department on necessary paperwork.

+ Prepare reports of business transactions, trip reports, and monitor expense accounts.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience with mobile or heavy equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems.

+ Experience in customer product support.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with daily use experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Ability to write and edit routine reports and correspondence.

+ Strong public contact and interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.

+ Experience working on heavy mobile equipment in the construction and/or mining industry.

+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

+ Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in various forms.

Work Environment

The work environment involves frequent exposure to outside weather conditions and occasional work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places. The employee will work in facilities and on job sites that may have loud machinery and equipment noises. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
