    We are seeking an experienced **Software Automation** **Lead** to join our Cellular CT Division.Element Materials Technology, Connected Technologies, Cellular division is a world leader in providing test and certification services to manufactures developing the latest mobile radio devices. In this pivotal role, you will drive the automation and systematization of our software development processesthatassistwith the testing and certification business, lead a team of developers within operations, and contribute to critical projects that enhance our lab's efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate isan experiencedtechnical leader with a proventrack recordin engineering team management, full-stack development (with a focus on Python), and building robust data platforms. You will foster a strong developerand progressiveculture while collaborating across cross-functional teams to balance customer needs with internal goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and mentor a team of developers within operations,providingtechnical guidance, value addition, and professional development support in a potentially indirector directreporting structure

    + Systematize the development of our code base and resources to mitigate single points of failure, ensuring resilience, scalability, and best practices in software engineering

    + Directly contribute to and own the success of critical software development projects in the lab,leveragingfull-stackexpertisewith a strong emphasis on Python

    + Cultivate and empower a vibrant, progressivedeveloper culture within the Cellular CT Division, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

    + Collaborate across cross-functional teams, engaging customers in open, solution-oriented discussions to shape outcomes proactively rather than reactively

    + Assess technical options for cost, resource implications, and alignment with operational efficiency and long-term scalability to inform decision-making

    + Drive automation initiatives and systematize processes tooptimizeworkflows and reduce manual interventions

    + Oversee data management strategies, including the design and implementation of large-scale data platform to support divisional objectives

    Skills / Qualifications

    + Proven experience leading engineering teams, delivering products, and providing mentorship to developers at various levels

    + Strongexpertisein automation, systematization, and building scalable systems

    + Demonstratedproficiencyin data management, particularly in developing andmaintaininglarge-scale data platforms

    + Full-stack development experience with a focus on Python; familiarity with hardware/device automation is a plus

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments, balancing customer needs against internal process goals

    + Technical acumen to evaluate options for informed, strategic decisions that enhance efficiency and scalability

    + Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related fieldorcommensuratewith experience

    + 5+ years of relevant experience in software development and leadership roles
