Job Summary and Responsibilities
Educator develops, coordinates and implements education programs and support services to serve the needs of community members. Provides knowledge that is relevant to coping with illness, promoting recovery to healthful living and appropriately involves the consumer in his/her healthcare decisions. Ensures customer's initial contact with the Resource Center is one that fosters a sense of security and confidence.
+ Assess the needs of the community through involving target population and partner organizations in program planning and formulates appropriate and measurable program objectives
+ Acts as a facilitator and consultant to enhance education goals in caring for hospital customers (in-patient, outpatient and community).
+ Plans curriculum content and sequence and other activities for customers and their families
+ Ensures patient/customer's initial contact with the Resource Center is one that fosters a sense of security and confidence
+ Develops, coordinates and implements education resources, programs and support services to serve the needs of our community as identified by the Community Health Needs Assessment
+ Collect data on every program and report outcomes by maintaining current, accurate records of attendance/participation and outcomes in educational programs
Job Requirements
Required
+ Bachelors in Health Education or related field.
+ Experience in teaching and working in the community

Pay Range
$25.55 - $38.00 /hour
