    Hiring for a leading manufacturer of custom stainless steel tanks, pressure vessels, and process systems for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. We’re expanding and looking for a skilled **MIG Welder** to join our fabrication team and help deliver precision-built, sanitary-grade equipment.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and structural components

    + Fabricate and assemble systems based on detailed drawings and specs

    + Maintain compliance with food-grade and customer-specific standards

    + Collaborate with machinists, electricians, and other trades to meet project goals

    + Support continuous improvement and shop efficiency

    Must-Haves

    + 3–5+ years of MIG welding experience on stainless steel and structural projects

    + Proven ability to pass a 3/8" stainless steel weld test (corner joint and butt joint)

    + Prior experience with food-grade welds and sanitary fabrication

    + Strong blueprint reading and fabrication skills

    + Familiarity with TIG or Flux Core welding is a plus

    + Trade school certifications may count toward experience

    Work Environment

     

    You’ll be working in a modern fabrication shop with a strong safety culture. While the space is open-air and not climate-controlled, team members are encouraged to dress appropriately for seasonal conditions.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMHERST, NY.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
