About the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT):
The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.
Role Overview:
The IT Project Manager plans, organizes, and controls all operations and activities of information technology projects for the client and other state government agencies. You will organize information for technology teams, contractors, agency representatives, and other involved stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, communication, planning, managing, and executing projects to keep them on time and within budget while meeting client expectations. You are required to do this on statewide PC refresh projects on a four-year rotating schedule to replace all state-issued PC computers thus enabling the Indiana Office of Technology to efficiently support IT resources across the state.
Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $79,118 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are:
+ Manage projects that involve multiple agencies, departments, divisions and other state or contracted resources for the project.
+ May oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion.
+ Ensure that users and project team member’s roles and responsibilities on the project are defined.
+ Coordinate and monitor activities of all parties involved in the project to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
+ Communicates project status to appropriate management and project stakeholders.
+ Ensure that user requirements, deliverables and approvals are defined.
+ Ensure the delivery of an outcome that meets users stated requirements.
+ Creates and maintains a team atmosphere and work environment to promote project work productivity.
+ Follow IOT’s PC Refresh best practices for managing projects help set by the PMO
+ Responsible for creating all project related documents including Statement of Work, Memorandum of Understanding, Project Charters, Project Plans, and weekly Status Reports.
+ Perform related work as assigned by senior team members or Management.
+ Responsible for contingency planning for project and technology\resource gaps to ensure transparent service delivery to all customers.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
+ a Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field, or
+ an Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field, or
+ at least 5+ years of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
+ Three (3) years of project management experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and estimation of resources.
+ Considerable knowledge and application of project management theories and practices.
+ Considerable knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation.
+ Considerable problem solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to lead project team by encouraging and influencing others to perform, as well as collaborate across departments.
+ Effective communication skills. Comfortable making presentations to stakeholders.
+ Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products: Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
+ Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
