Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled **Forklift Driver** to support warehouse operations by safely and efficiently handling materials. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Work Schedule
+ **Rotating shifts:** 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
+ **Shift possibilities:** Sunday–Thursday
+ Saturday–Friday
+ **Shift differential:** Offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Operate forklift professionally and accident-free; complete regular inspections.
+ Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.
+ Track goods accurately using the Warehouse Management System (WMS); ensure proper data entry.
+ Assist with manual tasks as directed (sampling, inventory, cleaning).
+ Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
+ During seed delivery and return season, load and unload transport vehicles with precision to meet quality standards.
+ Follow all safety protocols and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
+ Operate forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and materials in warehouse areas.
+ Use technology tools such as PCs and scanners to complete tasks.
Preferred Experience
+ Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
+ At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
+ Prior forklift certification preferred.
Skills
+ Accurate counting and inventory handling.
+ Ability to read scales and work with computers.
+ Strong multitasking and attention to detail.
+ Alertness and awareness when operating equipment.
+ Effective verbal and written communication in English.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Comfortable operating forklifts in confined spaces.
Qualifications
+ Pass pre-employment screenings.
+ Reliable transportation to the work site.
+ Maintain enthusiasm, honesty, and respect for others.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
