    Aerotek's client is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join their night team in the Washington, D.C area

    Job Description

    As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.

    + Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, and VFD.

    + Demonstrate knowledge of NEC codes and requirements.

    + Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose causes of faults across electrical assets and systems, implementing cost-effective and reliable repairs to NEC standards.

    + Maintain quality workmanship and collaborate with other trades, teams, and inspectors.

    + Conduct basic maintenance and repair of structures.

    + Be available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2+ years as a Journeyman Electrician.

    + Experience with installation and repair of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, and more.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Any additional electrical knowledge is a plus.

    Work Environment

    + The role involves working on DC tunnels with one day shift and one night shift.

    Pay Rate

    + $30-35/hr depending on relevant experience

    This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
