Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

This position involves assisting the current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in conducting visual and dimensional inspections on various products, such as skids and cable management equipment. The role provides an opportunity to advance into a CWI position for those interested, offering hands-on experience alongside an experienced CWI.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the current CWI in performing visual and dimensional inspections.

+ Conduct inspections on products like skids and cable management equipment.

+ Perform physical inspection tasks under the guidance of the current CWI.

+ Work towards the possibility of advancing into a CWI position.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of quality control experience in a welding shop.

+ Knowledge of visual weld inspection, although CWI certification is not required.

+ Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a CWI is considered an advantage.

Work Environment

Work in a large welding shop equipped with advanced robotic machinery. The environment is not climate-controlled, and the shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, allowing for a work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
