    1st Shift 6am-2:30pm - $17/hr

     

    2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm - $18/hr

    Job Description

    Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a crucial role in manufacturing medical device parts using industrial sewing machines. You will receive comprehensive training, followed by mentorship on the production floor, to ensure you succeed in your role.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts.

    + Participate in a week-long training class on industrial sewing machines.

    + Work with a mentor on the production floor to learn the production process.

    + Set up sewing machines with the correct thread.

    + Increase production count to the expected output level for each product within 13 weeks.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    + Sit for extended periods to operate sewing machines.

    + Seek assistance or call maintenance if issues arise with sewing machines.

    + Ensure products meet quality standards.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to hit production goals.

    + Experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with industrial sewing.

    + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    + Experience in medical device production.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a contract manufacturing medical device company experiencing significant growth, employing 800 people at the St Charles location. The production floor is predominantly composed of industrial sewing machines, operating in a clean GMP environment with hair and beard nets required. Although not climate-controlled, fans are provided for comfort. The workforce is diverse with over 5-6 languages spoken, and while English fluency is beneficial, translation technology can aid non-fluent speakers. The schedule offers flexibility with 1st shift from 6am - 2:30 pm and optional extended hours, and 2nd shift from 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with similar voluntary options.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
