**Pay Range:** $21.61 - $30.53 per hour

Summary:
Under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Service Assistant Manager/Director and the direct supervision of the Executive Chef, oversees the operations of retail services, patient meal services and vending. In doing so supervises food service staff engaged in the preparation and service of food in sanitation activities. Schedules work assignments to maintain smooth operations of the department. Enforces department standards, policies and procedures. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• State of Illinois Sanitation License
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, patients, and guests
• Coursework in foodservice management
Responsibilities:
• Participates in employee selection. Orients, trains, evaluate and recommends/implements disciplinary action for subordinate personnel.
• Revises work assignments to provide accurate and timely foodservices within established time frames and budgetary constraints.
• Audits the food service department for compliance with sanitation and safety procedures consistent with internal policy and external regulation codes. Responds appropri.1telyandinatimely manner to noted deficiencies.
• Maintains logs and document Lation as assigned.
• Functions actively as a member of the department management team. Contributes to problem solving efforts.
• Implementing or enforces new or changed departmental standards, policies or procedures.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all departmental equipment and operates these as needed.
• Maintains security of the department during opening and closing by following established procedures. Deposits cash receipts and maintain cash reports.
• Conducts in-service training as assigned. Monitors departmental compliance with in-services and adjusts staffing schedules to allow for compliance.
