    Job Title: Field Service Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly self-motivated Field Service Technician to perform service work on a full range of products at customer sites. The technician will collaborate with end users and contractors to ensure all on-site products are functioning properly and tested prior to system energization. This role requires a willingness to travel frequently within the country and occasionally internationally.

    Responsibilities

    + Execute a System Startup checklist while at a customer's site.

    + Program meters and perform network support via phone with customers.

    + Identify and resolve complex network issues.

    + Complete startup certification and meter commissioning reports.

    + Interact with customers professionally and respectfully.

    + Obtain a Level 1 Thermography Certification to perform IR scans and complete associated reports.

    + Diagnose and repair on-site issues and mentor technicians.

    + Suggest new services based on customer and contractor interactions.

    + Identify and specify required testing equipment for on-site services.

    Essential Skills

    + Superior attention to detail.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Basic experience with MS Windows and MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    + Familiarity with all product lines.

    + Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

    + One year of technical working knowledge of product lines.

    + Valid Driver’s License and ability to rent a vehicle.

    + Ability to obtain government security clearances and a passport.

    + Experience using power and hand tools.

    + Basic knowledge of electrical components.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to complete mandated training and certification programs.

    + Experience in maintenance, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.

    + Customer service skills and the ability to interact well with diverse groups.

    + Knowledge of terminal emulator programs like PuTTY.

    Work Environment

     

    Work is primarily conducted at customer sites, which may include active construction sites requiring personal protective equipment. Expect to travel up to 90% of the time by car or airplane. The role involves working long hours as needed, standing for prolonged periods, climbing ladders, and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

     

    Medical, dental, Vision, 401k match up to 7%

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully remote position.
