Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated cook to join our team and contribute to the preparation and execution of our diverse menu. The role involves early morning starts and requires attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and cook high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
+ Execute daily menu from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and help man stations during service from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
+ Transport food to service and assist in serving, ensuring correct portioning and food quality.
+ After service, transport items back to the kitchen and begin prep for the next day's menu until 3:30 pm.
+ On Fridays, conduct a full prep day from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
+ Ensure food is at the correct temperature, tasty, and attractively presented.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and ensure safe food handling practices.
+ Manage food inventory and assist in ordering and receiving food supplies.
+ Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
+ Participate in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
+ Attend in-service and safety meetings regularly.
+ Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
+ Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
Essential Skills
+ Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
+ Experience as a prep cook, line cook, or grill cook.
+ Proficient knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
+ Ability to manage food inventory effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Personal commitment to safety and cleanliness.
+ Ability to use medium weight cut gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves.
+ Use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and requires standing on your feet for up to 8 hours a day. We value efficiency and do not tolerate slow work. Safety equipment, such as medium weight cut gloves and slip-resistant shoes, are a must to ensure a safe working environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
