Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting CNC brake presses. You will utilize micrometers and calipers to ensure precise measurements and work within tight tolerances. Your duties will include making machine adjustments to control speed, checking and packing your own parts per work instructions, and calculating bend deduction allowances. You will also perform loading and unloading of materials, change tools, and select required machine programs.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and adjust CNC brake presses effectively.
+ Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.
+ Work within a tolerance range of +/- .1-.005.
+ Make necessary machine adjustments to control operational speed.
+ Check and pack parts according to work instructions.
+ Calculate bend deduction allowances based on fabrication instructions.
+ Load and unload materials, change tools, and select machine programs.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in setting up or operating CNC brake presses.
+ Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
+ Strong basic math skills.
+ Ability to understand and execute simple multi-step instructions.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with press brake, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with brands like Cincinnati, Bystronic, and Accurpress.

Work Environment

The facility is equipped with the latest fabrication and welding equipment and is designed to support a variety of industries including restaurant, medical, and telecommunications. Employees enjoy a 10% shift differential for second shift work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.
