    Safety Intern

    Essential Duties &** **Responsibilities

    + Support the safety and occupational health team.

    + Assist in improving accident and illness prevention programs.

    + Conduct hazard and risk assessments.

    + Prepare and submit safety reports to management.

    + Help with Workers’ Compensation and safety committees.

    + Investigate accidents and track corrective actions.

    + Participate in safety training sessions and promote safety awareness.

    + Perform regular plant safety inspections.

    + Assist in managing safety programs (exposure control, hazard communication, respiratory protection, hearing conservation).

    + Ensure compliance with safety laws and company policies.

    + Help set standards for PPE and machine guarding.

    + Support ergonomics program development.

    + Review and approve new or modified equipment for safety.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    What You’ll Need

    + Education: Enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.

    + Minimum GPA: 2.5.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
