    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position Title: Customer Service Representative

     

    Department: Operations

     

    Reports to: Terminal Manager

    Principle Responsibilities:

    + Schedule, enter, and communicate all customer delivery appointments.

    + Update corporate customer service on any late deliveries and detentions.

    + Solicit freight from the assigned geographical region and assigned customer base.

    + Manage loads to ensure equipment and drivers are fully utilized.

    + Communicate service issues to your assigned customers in your designated area.

    + Update daily check call based on shippers requirements.

    + Check destinations, load capabilities, arrival times, driver capabilities and potential.

    + Optimize trailer pool utilization and trailer locations.

    + Communicate with customers regarding needs and with sales for opportunities.

    + Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Proficient in Microsoft office software. TMW and Omnitracs knowledge preferred.

    + Dependable and capable of adapting to a fast-paced working environment.

    + Must have the ability to modify/change systems to continually improve the overall operations.

    + Transportation industry experience preferred.

    + Excellent customer service, planning, and organizational skills.

     

    Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

    The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

    + Base salary range of $16.00 to $20.00 per hour
