Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Alpharetta, Georgia. This position is essential for managing vendor invoices, ensuring prompt payments, and maintaining compliance with financial procedures. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations while fostering strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verifying their accuracy and ensuring proper coding and approvals.

• Manage timely payments in accordance with company policies and vendor agreements.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and address discrepancies as they arise.

• Maintain and update vendor records, including payment details and contact information.

• Handle expense report processing and employee reimbursements with precision.

• Support month-end closing tasks, including preparing accruals and generating reports.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.

• Assist in internal audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with financial controls.

• Collaborate with procurement and other departments to enhance accounts payable processes. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Proficiency in accounts payable tasks, including invoice coding and payment processing.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check run procedures.

• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

• Excellent communication skills for managing vendor relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
