    Description

    Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being a key contributor to efficient billing processes. This is a Part-Time opportunity only.

     

    + Process and prepare client invoices in accordance with the firm’s billing guidelines

    + Review billable hours and expenses submitted by attorneys and legal staff for accuracy and compliance

    + Resolve billing discrepancies and communicate with attorneys to clarify documentation as needed

    + Maintain billing records and update client accounts in the firm’s management system

    + Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and payment status in a timely and professional manner

    + Assist with tracking receivables, generating aging reports, and following up on outstanding balances

    + Coordinate with the finance team on month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing

    + Ensure confidentiality of client information and sensitive billing data at all times

    Requirements

    + High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred

    + Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or administrative role (legal sector experience a plus)

    + Proficiency with billing/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

    + Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data entry

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, clients, and internal staff

    + Understanding of law firm billing practices, terminology, and confidentiality requirements preferred

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
