Description
This independent contributor role is responsible for driving the People strategy and managing all HR functions based in Memphis, Tennessee and require travel to Little Rock, Arkansas once a month. The HR Generalist will ensure operational excellence, foster a positive work environment, and align People strategies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Generalist:
Serve as the primary HR point of contact and strategic partner to local leadership and employees in both locations.
Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
Drive and support business unit objectives through effective People strategies.
Employee Relations:
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting objective investigations.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with policies and labor laws.
Promote a high-performance, ethical, and inclusive culture.
Talent Acquisition:
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all non-executive roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
Payroll & Benefits:
Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll for supported locations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
Daily Operational Support:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data and employee files.
Manage HR compliance, including reporting, policy implementation, and mandatory training.
Support performance review cycles, compensation planning, and learning and development initiatives.
Act as a liaison for corporate HR initiatives implemented across the organization.
Requirements
+ A minimum of five years of experience in a generalist-level Human Resources role is required.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state (Tennessee and Arkansas) employment laws and HR best practices.
+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
+ Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
+ Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Highly organized, self-directed, and able to thrive as an independent contributor managing multiple priorities across different locations.
