Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Livingston, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work on-site Monday through Friday. The role involves handling a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial processes, and supporting month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice validation and payment processing.

• Perform general accounting duties, such as journal entries and reconciliation.

• Support inventory-related financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Handle month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure data integrity.

• Utilize Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel for accounting and reporting purposes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Assist with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation.

• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements within the accounting function.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes and general accounting.

• Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Expertise in using Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks.

• Familiarity with inventory-related accounting processes.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an environment that values attention to detail.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
