Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing manufacturing company in the Knightdale, North Carolina area to assist them in hiring an experienced Controller. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience and a Controller and be a CPA. Manufacturing experience is a plus. This is an onsite position, so candidates must reside in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, cost accounting and inventory management, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. The Controller will be a 100% onsite permanent employment opportunity.

Your responsibilities

- Oversight of Cost Accounting and inventory

- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports

- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

- Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

- Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field

• 10+ years proven accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Manufacturing experience is highly preferred

• CPA Certification is strongly preferred

• Proven skills to support rapid company growth

• Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
