Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut. This contract-to-permanent position offers a growth opportunity, with the potential to advance to a managerial role in the future. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing, cash applications, and credit evaluations, along with the ability to manage high-volume transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage 60-80 invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Investigate and resolve variances by coordinating with customer service and shipping teams.

• Handle cash payments and manage activity for approximately 20 accounts.

• Facilitate international wire payments for prepay clients, typically 2-3 transactions per day.

• Establish and evaluate creditworthiness for 3-5 accounts weekly using upgraded credit tools.

• Maintain credit documentation and ensure compliance with established policies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth billing processes and resolve discrepancies.

• Support efforts to streamline accounts receivable operations and improve efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field.

• Proficiency in cash applications and billing functions.

• Familiarity with credit evaluation processes and tools such as D& B.

• Strong organizational skills to manage high transaction volumes effectively.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external clients.

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and payment processing.

• Experience with commercial collections is preferred.

• Knowledge of international payment methods, including wire transfers, is a plus.
