Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in cost accounting, particularly within manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with complex systems and data.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manage cost accounting functions, including standard cost and manufacturing cost processes.

• Prepare detailed cost analyses to support financial planning and decision-making.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to streamline data management and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.

• Monitor and improve cost control measures to optimize business operations.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and cost trends.

• Maintain and update cost accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

• Assist in financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within cost accounting practices.

• Support management with cost-related reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Expertise in standard cost accounting and cost analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data manipulation.

• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to the team’s success.
