Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices while maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role demands attention to detail, proficiency in ERP systems, and effective collaboration across departments to support smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
+ Receive, review, and enter supplier invoices into the ERP system, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
+ Perform accurate matching of invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips to validate transactions and prevent discrepancies.
+ Prepare and maintain vendor account reconciliations, comparing supplier statements against accounts payable records to resolve variances promptly.
+ Work closely with internal teams and external vendors via email, virtual platforms, and in-person meetings to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure timely payments.
+ Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment documentation to support audits and internal controls.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function.

Work Environment
The role is located at our office in Olathe, working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. The accounts payable team consists of four members within a total finance team of fifteen. There is potential for a hybrid work arrangement once work becomes more sustainable and independent. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
