    Employment Terms: This job is a regular, full-time 40 hour per week, non-exempt position in the Computer Sciences Division that reports to the Dean of Computer Science. This position will be assigned to both the Lawrenceville and Alpharetta-North Fulton campus based on need.

     

    Salary : Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $46,800 per year.

     

    Schedule: 40 hours per week. Availability to work Monday through Friday, including two evenings and weekends, as needed. Flexibility a must.

    Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 61767):

    Associate’s degree required in a course of study related to the occupational field *and* Three (3) years of related work experience.

     

    Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university. Working experience in Curriculum Design, Information Systems, Administrative and Education discipline, and two (2) years of experience in a technical setting. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external constituents (students, faculty, staff, agency personnel); exceptional customer services skills; strong organizational and record keeping skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines; quick learner and ability to implement of new tools; detail oriented; adheres to the policies.

    Job Description Summary:

    Under the leadership of the Dean of Computer Science , provides support services to the Dean, Program Directors, Adjuncts, Advisory Board, and students. Provides program support to the Dean and the division.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    Percentage of Time

     

    1. Review and manages CIS master courses on a semester basis to ensure professionalism, flow, and adequate content to provide student success.

    • Review the following syllabi, accurate textbooks, layout, gradebook setup, and flow.

    • Provides assistance with quality matters and updates syllabi’s accordingly.

    • Assists program directors in cleaning and updating the shells.

    • Maintains a list of ongoing course updates, errors, and challenges.

    • Addressed course needs based on course evaluations of both Program Directors and Adjuncts.

    2. Assists the division with operating processes

    • Assists the dean, program directors, and instructors with job vacancy forms, TGM purchases, research, travel forms, Concur/reimbursements, TALEO leave, registrations, vehicle registrations and authorizations, flyers, other employments forms, etc.

    • Assists with student organization and membership renewals, paperwork, events, and funding i.e. CIS clubs (including setup/cleanup).

    • Generates the paperwork and schedules required for the Skills USA, Cybersecurity, Gaming, and other CIST competitions.

    • Helps students identify available support services for academic success.

    • Assists in generating reports, statistics, and files needed for Program Reviews and Learning Outcomes.

    • Assists with building and program tours (including setup)

    • Manages CIS digital media devices and software, such as LibCal.

    3. Provides support to the Dean.

    • Assists in training new Program Director and Faculty on both campuses.

    • Assists in mentoring and advising sessions for students.

    • Meets all deadlines and communications during turnovers for all positions within CIS.

    • Handles course related emergencies and any unexpected occurrences within the division.

    • Assists with adjunct, lab assistant, and work study interviews due to the high turnover.

    • Assists with preparing and managing advisory board goals and outcomes.

    • Coordinates with CIST admin and social media manager and updates the CIS Facebook page, as needed.

    • Manage/Assist with proctoring and proctor scheduling

    • Schedule tutoring, help desk, and student lab coverage.

    • Assist with/and schedule Information Sessions and study sessions. (Conducts sessions which can be on Friday and Saturday for the Computer Science programs)
