Description:

AAA is seeking a highly skilled Sabre GDS Integration Specialist to lead the technical implementation and configuration of a new Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) across multiple agency branches. This role is hands-on and requires deep technical expertise in GDS setup, back-office integration, and system architecture, rather than end-user ticketing.

You will work closely with development teams, procurement, and operations to ensure seamless integration of Sabre with AAA’s internal systems, configure branch structures, and implement negotiated fares. This is a strategic, technical role critical to AAA’s migration from Travelport to Sabre.

Key Responsibilities:

GDS System Setup & Integration

+ Build and configure Sabre GDS environments from the ground up, including PCCs, Office IDs, duty codes, queues, and security settings.

+ Integrate Sabre with mid-office and back-office systems for accounting, reporting, and compliance.

+ Develop and implement scripts, formats, and automation for workflow optimization and quality control.

+ Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure proper system connectivity and data flow.

Fare Management & Optimization

+ Load and validate negotiated fares, private rates, and corporate agreements into Sabre.

+ Ensure accurate fare filing and compliance with IATA, ARC/BSP, and airline requirements.

+ Work with procurement and finance teams to implement fare optimization strategies.

Technical Troubleshooting & Support

+ Resolve complex integration issues between Sabre and internal systems.

+ Provide technical guidance on GDS configurations, coding, and system enhancements.

+ Coordinate with Sabre and other vendors for updates, patches, and service improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

+ Partner with operations, finance, and travel teams to align system setup with business goals.

+ Deliver technical documentation and training for internal teams on system architecture and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of advanced Sabre GDS experience with strong technical integration Experience

+ Proven experience in agency setup, including PCC creation, branch configuration, and system administration.

+ Hands-on experience with back-office integration, scripting, and workflow automation.

+ Deep knowledge of IATA regulations, airline fare structures, and distribution practices.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with complex systems and data.

Preferred:

+ Experience in large corporate travel environments or with GDS vendors (Sabre, Travelport).

+ Familiarity with mid-office/back-office tools and quality control systems.

+ GDS Sabre certifications and technical training.

This is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, CA 92626.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
