Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and updating oil and gas production and sales data into company production and accounting systems. Responsible for generating, filing and reporting on a variety of internal production and sales volume reports. Conducts analysis of production versus sales data. Provides support to the Production Operations Department and its engineering groups.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Maintains and updates well data in Merrick systems for all wells in assigned area.
+ Reconciles sales data with purchaser data and resolve discrepancies.
+ Generates, files, and maintains internal production and sales volume reports.
+ Conducts routine analysis of production versus sales data.
+ Conducts analysis of production versus sales data and provide insights and recommendations.
+ Maintains physical files in an organized manner for utilization by company personnel.
+ Provides assistance to other departments by providing Production, Sales, and Injection data.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
+ Knowledge of accounting principles and concepts specific to the oil and gas industry.
+ Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and reporting requirements.
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office software skills.
+ Proficiency in other analytical tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, Microsoft Access, or Spotfire.
+ Knowledge of Merrick Systems production operations and accounting software.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
+ Proficient computer skills.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma (or GED).
+ Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
+ An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
+ Previous experience with Oil & Gas Production or Revenue Accounting.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
+ Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
+ Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
+ Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
