** *To be considered for this position you must complete the state application and attach all required documents through the Montana State Careers site at** **www.statecareers.mt.gov**.*** * * *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division in Helena.* The Epidemiologist 2 is responsible for providing epidemiology support to the HIV, STD, and Viral hepatitis Section. Responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to: Analyze HIV, hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) surveillance data such as risk factors, demographics, and geography; Develop and maintain quality assurance activities for HIV, hepatitis, and STI surveillance; Provide support in the implementation of HIV hepatitis C surveillance, including Partner Services; Develop and conduct trainings for local and tribal health jurisdictions; Design and conduct program evaluations; Conduct HIV and hepatitis C surveillance, case ascertainment, investigation, and follow-up; Maintain the statewide HIV data system and conduct data management activities. * * *Why Join DPHHS* * * Our mission at DPHHS is serving Montanans in their communities to improve health, safety, well-being, and empower independence. Experience with SAS is preferred. * Excellent written and oral communication skills for a variety of audiences, including public speaking. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Public Health or a closely related degree. o Three years of job-related experience in epidemiology. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. ** *How to Apply*** To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
