**Content Platforms & Operations** is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.
Job Summary:
The Product Manager II will provide day-to-day support for the title management ecosystem and support with efforts to consolidate, modernize, and streamline the title management ecosystem.Key responsibilities include gathering & prioritizing business requirements and translating that into product specifications. Working in a cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, infrastructure, and QA, to help advance the product for the future business of The Walt Disney Company, with focus on leveraging AI, maximizing automation, driving operational improvements, and supporting the acceleration of our Direct-to-Consumer business.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
+ Collaborate, partner and coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, product, and scrum master/ project management) to implement solutions aligned with the product strategy and overall strategic objectives
+ Provide day-to-day product lifecycle support for title management products, including leading or supporting daily scrum meetings, planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives
+ Proactively identify and propose feature improvements based on business goals and KPIs
+ Partner with business stakeholders to develop detailed product requirements and ensure alignment with overall product team strategy and business value
+ Support developing detailed product documentation, user stories, workflows, and process maps to capture platform functionality and dependencies
+ Assist in business case development using appropriate modeling techniques and methods
+ Define precise user story acceptance criteria, develop UAT test scripts, and support change management activities to ensure successful launches of new features
+ Support cross-functional communication and change management as new features are launched or processes evolve
+ Promote Agile principles and methods for requirements gathering and project execution
+ Assist in the creation of project approval request documentation
+ Own system processes, user guides, and training materials on product features as needed
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
+ 3+ years of product management experience
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed organization, executing on several initiatives concurrently while balancing competing priorities
+ Demonstrate product understanding and platform familiarity
+ Demonstrate strong presentation and ability to clearly communicate goals, status, and issues
+ Demonstrate strong technical writing skills
+ Demonstrate ability to craft and validate problems
+ Demonstrated ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies
+ Demonstrate ability to define Product Roadmaps
+ Demonstrate understanding of business modeling and analysis vis structured cost/benefit analysis
+ Exhibits a clear understanding of development process, methodologies, and tools
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to distill information accurately and convey it (verbally and/or written) to business partners and internal technology teams
+ Demonstrated experience collaborating across functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
+ Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence
+ Prior work experience in Title (IP) and Metadata Management
+ Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry
+ Understanding of media production workflows, digital video workflows, or consumer-facing video product features
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $114,900 to $154,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
