    UPMC Magee-Womens is a national leader in women's health, offering access to advanced expertise. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about our initiatives to expand access across the region, improving maternal and child health outcomes. With System Executive Administrator and Medical Director, this role provides overall administrative and operational oversight to identified departments & programs within the Women's Service Line. The Director will ensure alignment with system-level goals, best practices, high-quality care delivery, and fiscal responsibility.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develops comprehensive, innovative, realistic goals and objectives that support the UPMC Magee-Womens in Central PA Strategic Plan.

    + Establishes quality performance, patient experience/satisfaction metrics and develops plans to educate others and improve results for the service line.

    + Ensures efficient and economical performance in accordance with operating and capital budgets and takes the appropriate actions to ensure the attainment of profit and year-end goals and objectives.

    + Responsible for the implementation and achievement of the business plans and key performance indicators.

    + Assures sound fiscal operations.

    + Assists in development of business, operational, capital and financial plans and monitors progress toward these goals.

    + Develops capital needs analysis.

    + Reviews monthly financial reports and variance explanations and works with directors, managers to develop action plans and address gaps.

    + Leads work with physician contract processing, metric management & reporting.

    + Oversees operations of practices including staffing, patient experience, marketing/branding, community outreach and achievement of financial and quality goals.

    + With Medical Director and Service Line Leader, obtains and analyzes physician report card data. Identifies areas of opportunities and develops and monitors action plans to address areas of concern.

    + Collaborates and develops positive working relationships with physicians, clinical areas and referral agencies to ensure engagement, open communication and collaborative problem solving.

    + Ensures compliance with outside regulators, hospital, and departmental policies; oversees review and/or revisions to policies relevant to area of operation.

    + Monitors productivity and recommends adjustments to maximize staff and workload.

    + Identifies opportunities for service line and program growth and development and cultivates physician business to increase referrals, market share and access.

    + Partners with physicians to engage in evaluation and improvement opportunities to reduce supply costs and optimize pricing.

    + Works with professional billing and other financial team members to review and analyze reports, trends, and reports of reimbursement and trends.

    + Develops women and children's programs across the continuum working with physicians, offices, care coordination, and community.

    + Develops affiliations with other providers in the market as a means to enhance UPMC service delivery.

    + Collaborates with others to develop professional and public education programs.

    + Participates in and represents the service line in committees, task forces, conferences, community events, etc.

    + Maintains standing in professional organizations and with others in order to keep abreast of trends and progress in field, administratively and technically.

    + Bachelor's degree in related field with five to seven years progressive administrative experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.

    + Or Masters degree in health care administration, business administration or related field.

    + Must demonstrate knowledge of administration and management responsibilities and techniques, strategic planning and program development, financial/revenue cycle management, interpersonal relationship skills and group dynamics.

    + Demonstrated skill in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services;

    + Excellent communications with leaders, physicians, staff, other professionals, patients and their families;

    + Proven knowledge and skills in performance management to coach and develop professional staff.

    + Must be able to manage multiple projects and resources while fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive set of working relationships with senior management representing both internal and external stakeholders.

    + Ten or more years experience in position of middle to upper level administration in health care system including ambulatory and hospital operations preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
