BrightStar Indiana** , a partner of the State Lottery Commission of Indiana, works to maximize net income to the State of Indiana in a socially responsible manner through the sales of Hoosier Lottery tickets. Generating more than $1.5 billion in sales annually, **BrightStar Indiana is responsible for marketing, product development, sales, technology, and operations functions for and on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery.
Overall Objective and Purpose
The Relief Sales Representative plays a crucial role in supporting the District Sales team by ensuring smooth operations during open territories. This position involves executing sales initiatives and managing various support functions as assigned by the District Sales Manager. The role is versatile and can assist in all aspects of the district structure.
Territory Coverage
This territory will coverKokomo, Muncie and Marion
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
+ Cover open territories due to vacancy, vacation, extended leave, personal time off, or any other reason.
+ Provide administrative and warehouse support for Hoosier Lottery offices and offsite storage facilities as needed, including organizing and distributing Point of Sale materials and managing instant ticket returns.
+ Assist in collecting necessary paperwork for new retailers, renewals, change of ownerships, and terminations, as directed by the Division Licensing Specialist.
+ Support retail resets, new store set-ups, terminations, and change of ownerships when necessary.
+ Help develop detailed execution plans and promotional programs to grow sales within the District.
+ Provide training on Hoosier Lottery products, equipment, and sales best practices for all retailers.
+ Assist with the collection and delivery of all Hoosier Lottery inventory, property, and equipment.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
+ Uphold the Retailer Lottery Contract policies and procedures.
+ Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience
+ **Minimum Education** : Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field from a four-year college/university or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
+ **Years of Experience** : At least three (3) years of experience in retail or wholesale route sales.
+ **Skills** :
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively.
+ Effective time management and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekend activities.
+ Extensive daytime travel is required; occasional overnight stays may be warranted.
+ Understanding of lottery transactions and operations.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and reporting.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
