Job Overview
Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital location in Burnsville, MN.
Fairview Ridges Hospital provides care for patients with many different acute and chronic diagnoses including, but not limited to, sepsis, renal disease, respiratory illnesses, overdoses, withdrawals, CVA’s, acute myocardial infarction, pneumonia and more. Our complex patients may require ventilation, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
**Schedule** **:** This position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours and straight nights. This position will also work a rotation for every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

+ Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN is a community based, 150 bed, level III designated trauma center.
+ Our 12 Bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a face-paced and highly technical environment where safety, quality, and patient and family centered care is established.
+ In our unit, you will also have the opportunity to pick up shifts.

As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for:
+ Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
+ Developing an individualized nursing plan of care;
+ Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
+ Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
+ Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
+ Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
+ Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
+ Promoting a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and
+ Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Responsibilities
+ Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
+ Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
+ Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
+ Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
+ Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
+ Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
+ Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
Required Qualifications
+ MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
+ Current RN ICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing
+ 2-5 years RN ICU experience
