Overview
We are looking for a Process Engineer to enhance packaging operations and end-of-game processes. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing equipment performance, reducing downtime and waste, and increasing throughput on packaging systems such as shrink wrappers, heat tunnels, case packers, palletizers, book-breaking machines (BBM), conveyors, and robotic packaging systems. You’ll work closely with operations and maintenance teams to drive measurable improvements and ensure consistent, high-quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Analyze packaging processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, waste reduction, and throughput improvement.
+ Develop and implement centerlining standards for packaging equipment to ensure consistent performance.
+ Collaborate with automation engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize machine settings.
+ Lead projects aimed at reducing downtime and improving reliability across packaging systems.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven methods to validate improvements.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies.
+ Document best practices and train operators on optimized processes and equipment settings.
+ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with packaging systems.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with packaging equipment such as shrink wrappers, case packers, palletizers, and conveyors.
+ Familiarity with robotic packaging systems (Yaskawa or similar) and automated packaging lines.
+ Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $40,887- $115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
