JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Information Technology provides leadership for the IT department, ensuring the effective management of enterprise systems, applications, data analytics & security, software & integration development, infrastructure, cloud services, equipment lifecycle, help desk operations, vendor relationships, and departmental staff. This role is accountable for delivering secure, reliable, efficient, and scalable technology solutions that align with and advance organizational objectives.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
+ Strategic Leadership
+ Partner with the Chief Digital Officer to develop and execute the IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital initiatives.
+ Identify emerging technologies and recommend adoption to enhance business performance.
+ Strengthen IT governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Proactively manage cyber risk and drive security culture that supports modern frameworks.
+ Communicate complex technology strategies to stakeholders, translating technical concepts into actionable business insights.
+ Application, Data Management
+ Oversee the reliable operation and support of enterprise applications and their related systems.
+ Drive data analytics initiatives to support informed decision-making.
+ Leverage automation and artificial intelligence tools to drive operational efficiency, enhance business value, and support the organization’s strategic objectives.
+ Ensure integration and interoperability of systems.
+ Develop and implement in-house solutions, as appropriate, that are robust, scalable, and strategically aligned with organizational objectives.
+ Infrastructure & Operations
+ Ensure that network, server, and cloud infrastructure maintain high availability and performance.
+ Enable strong IT service delivery, help desk operations, and vendor relationships.
+ Design, implement, and test disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity plans.
+ Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy laws and industry standards.
+ Collaborate with the facilities department on branch projects and security technology.
+ Team Leadership
+ Recruit, mentor, and develop high-potential IT staff to include succession planning.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
+ Manage IT budgets and optimize resource allocation.
+ Oversee department projects and project portfolio.
+ Collaborate with a variety of internal and external constituents and stakeholders.
+ Organize and manage multiple priorities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in a leadership role.
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is desirable but not mandatory; candidates with a master’s degree will be given additional consideration.
+ Must have solid technical knowledge and experience building a high-performing team.
+ Ability to lead complex, cross-functional IT projects and manage organizational change is essential. Strong experience with project management methodologies. Certification a plus.
+ Proven expertise with planning, development, strategy, budgeting, allocation, implementation, and administration. Experienced performing cost-benefit analysis and ROI evaluation.
+ Demonstrated strategic thinking, adaptability, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration.
+ Experience with financial and security audits as well as policy development.
+ Excellent organization, time management, collaboration, and verbal and written communication skills are required.
+ Experience with contract negotiation, service-level agreements, and managing outsourced IT services are critical.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
