    Description

    As a Residence Monitor you will a ssist in maintaining security for the building and for residents and perform some custodial functions.

     

    Hours are on an as needed, on call basis. Third shift differential of $1.00 per hour.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Answers phone, processes calls, and assists residents in emergency situations

    + Admits residents into building from 10:00p.m. to 6:00a.m.

    + Explains policies of residence and problem-solves issues involving residents

    + Conducts tours of each residence floor periodically each night

    + Records residents and/or building occurrences in daily log and informs Residence Manager.

    + Monitors building security and alarm systems, and initiates emergency procedures as necessary

    + Dusts furniture and vacuums carpet in Members’ Lounge and Lobby area nightly; wipes tables in vending area nightly; straightens materials on tables and in kiosks as needed

    + Provides relief coverage for front desk as needed

    + Performs all other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Ability to work independently

    + Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions

    + Good decision making skills

    + Demonstrated skills in relation to a diverse client population

    + Knowledge of group living dynamics preferred
