    JOB SUMMARY

    Area Therapy Advancement Manager – US Commercial Marketing

     

    Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. 20 million people around the world suffer from AFIB each year. Biosense Webster, Inc. is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The company established its leadership in electrophysiology with the development of the first real-time, 3D cardiac mapping and navigation technology, as well as the first electrophysiology catheter. The introduction of the company’s CARTO® 3 System in 2009 revolutionized 3D mapping technology by increasing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the cardiac ablation procedure.

     

    The Area Therapy Advancement Manager (ATAM) is a member of the US Commercial Marketing leadership team and reports directly to the National Therapy Advancement Director. The ATAM is responsible for developing and overseeing the successful execution of the BWI Marketing strategies to increase the number of patients receiving ablation in their aligned sales area in close alignment with the broader BWI commercial strategy. The ATAM leads the area Therapy Advancement field team consisting of area Regional Therapy Advancement Managers (RTAMs). This role works closely with Sales and Clinical Leadership, and several cross functional teams including Health Care Compliance, HEMA and Customer Education and Engagement.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    _Under (e.g. limited supervision, general direction, etc.) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:_

     

    + Develop and manage Regional Therapy Advancement team members (RTAMs)

    + Advocate on behalf of EP programs to health system administration

    + Engage with hospital administrators and physicians to gain alignment on projects

    + Identity accounts, align objectives with Area Vice President and National Therapy Advancement Manager and execute plans that enable patient treatment

    + Promote and maximize the use of all available customer resources developed by commercial marketing, Professional Education, HEMA, and SCG

    + Increase overall awareness of the AFib disease state among all stakeholders

    + Connect physicians with commercial and strategic marketing to advocate products and programs that will strengthen customer relationships

    + Plan and execute national-level marketing projects that will contribute to organizational goals

    + Work with field sales teams to achieve business objectives

    + Serve as a member of sales area leadership team

    + Recruit, develop and retain top talent into the Therapy Advancement team (e.g., selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, retention planning, etc.). Coach and manage (directly) the performance of the RTAM’s including the coaching and managing of the RTAM’s in collaboration with their management

    + Develop business critical commercial goals for team, ensure accountability and provide leadership to ensure the team meets and exceeds business goals

    + Uphold all HCC rules and regulations with the field Therapy Advancement Team

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Minimum of a BA/BS, combined with a minimum of 8 years professional work experience and 4+ years of sales and marketing experience is required

    + Previous experience in the medical device industry is preferred. Sales experience in cardiovascular/EP is preferred

    + Bachelor’s degree required

    + A minimum of 8 years of business experience and 4 years of sales and or marketing experience is required

    + Previous experience in the medical device industry is required, and cardiovascular experience is preferred

    + People leadership experience required

    + Strong presentation and communication skills are required

    + Ability to build strong customer relationships with a consultative approach is required

    + Expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships across an organization is required

    + Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency is required

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills are required

     

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·

    + Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
