Position Overview
Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Plant 3. The Maintenance Supervisor will p rovide leadership in metrics related to the day to day operations within the department (i.e. safety, quality, waste, productivity, cost reductions). Responsible for communicating, developing, and consistently managing teammates within the department.

Responsibilities
+ Leads by ensuring appropriate training and resources are available to execute and sustain deliverables applicable to the department and Facility by working with and assisting the Hourly Teammates, Training, and Plant Leadership.
+ Ensur e s proper adherence to safety policies and leads safety improvements through given tools and systems.
+ Leads Hourly Teammates by managing employee accountability and development.
+ Drives departmental performance utilizing tools such as: Lean, Standard Work, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, USF, and Visual Management. By working with Hourly Teammates, Department Manager, support (PE, Training, Maintenance).
+ Effectively interface procedures, policies and systems to provide a successful departmental environment. This includes interaction with support areas, effective communication with teammates, and interaction with Leadership. Working with and assisting Hour ly Teammates, Human Resources, and Department Manager.
+ Administrative responsibilities (Policies, Workforce , Attendance, Corrective Discipline, Correspondence, Production Entries, Inventory, etc.), by working with Hourly Teammates, Payroll, Human Resources and IT.
+ Utilizes audit processes for continuous improvement efforts by coordinating with Lean Leadership, Department Managers, and Production Managers.
+ Prepares shift for job assignments, production scheduling, projects and standard work, by working with Hourly Teammates, Production Supervisor s , and Planners.
+ Effectively communicate daily with customers on status of work requested, priorities and staffing issues.
Qualifications
+ HS Diploma or equivalent
+ Reliability maintenance experience including preventative and reactionary maintenance
Preferred:
+ Backing manufacturing experience.
+ General process knowledge of production departments in the facility.
