Summary This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of War, Director of Administrative and Management (DA&M), Organizational & Management Policy Directorate. The DA&M serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of War and Deputy Secretary of War on establishing policies for, and directing, shared services and all Enterprise Business Operations, including planning, processes, transformation, performance measurement and management, and unifying business management efforts across DoW. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Prepares and / or supports briefings on the organizational, management, and governance arrangements and processes of the DoW to officials at the highest levels of the Department, other Agencies and Departments of the Executive Branch, the Congress, foreign governments, and corporate and private organizations, as required. Serves as an alternate team lead in the Engine Room to support SW or DW decision fora, works through the overall Engine Room integrator, when supporting senior staff in the Immediate Office of the SW/ DW regarding full-spectrum decision-making, meeting-execution, and follow-up. With oversight, as needed, leads, directs, and/ or oversees cross-organizational or cross-functional working groups, teams, or other integrated groups, often in a federated environment in managing support actions and conducting analyses and studies. Developing and overseeing senior governance policy,. Reviewing and analyzing bills and legislation for DoW equities related to organization, management, authorities, and responsibilities. Advising senior officials on Organizational and Management policies, processes, and programs, and provides associated analytical support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
