Position Purpose
Performs assignments in the functional areas of contracting (both strategic and tactical activities), investment recovery/transportation, inventory management, facilities management operations, and/or SC systems analysis. May be assigned in one area for an indefinite period depending on staffing requirements. Assists in defining Procurement and Materials requirements and developing solutions for identified business systems problems. Develops presentations for management to communicate goals, objectives and results. Provides customers with business analysis and consulting support for Supply Chain data. Communicates regularly with other Supply Chain management to ensure that timely data analysis occurs.
Principal Accountabilities
While assigned to Sourcing:
+ Sources materials and services. Audits and assesses SC results as directed
+ Prepares supplier documentation to ensure compliance with requirements such as bonding, prevailing wages, auditable files, insurance, invoicing, procedures etc.
+ Conducts analysis of all costs and employment practices as foundational input for management decisions regarding SC operations. Creates and modifies SPPs.
While assigned to Materials Management:
+ Performs logistical support activities including expediting and delivery coordination
+ Develops inventory management solutions and evaluates min/max stocking levels and replenishment approaches
While assigned to Strategies & Support Services:
+ Collects, presents, and interprets quantitative data to ensure accuracy in management decision making and reporting to internal and external entities.
+ Develops presentations for use by SCF management to communicate goals, objectives, and results.
Participates in teams and special projects designed to familiarize incumbent with SC policy, business practices, and systems. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management
Minimum Requirements
Education. — Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline that complements the program initiatives (e.g., business administration / management, computer science; economics, etc.) or equivalent.
Experience. — Utility experience desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — The incumbent must possess a knowledge and use of automated information systems and equipment particularly as they relate to TVA’s supply chain function. The incumbent must have strong analytical skills to recognize discrepancies in data/reports and the ability to resolve issues related to data. Also must have strong attention to detail, good oral, and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
