About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide organizational leadership and supervision of the Capital Project Coordinator Team. The Project Coordinator Team supports project delivery at a major pharmaceutical company. The primary responsibility of the Project Coordinator work group is to issue, monitor, and control CBRE and client specific work permits which ensure daily work initiatives will be delivered in a manner compliant with all local policies and procedures.
This job is onsite at our client's campus in Indianapolis, IN with some travel to other locations as needed.
What you’ll do
Responsible for defining and executing the overall strategy for the Project Coordinator organization.
Position will oversee Project Coordinator Supervisors and Coordinators to ensure strategic vision for the Project Coordinator organization is being successfully implemented.
Position will be responsible for supporting client locations across the United States and ~25% travel can be expected.
Responsible for the performance, development, and retention of all Capital Project Coordinator Supervisors and Coordinators within the organization.
Work with leaders within Project Management, Facilities Management, and HSE organizations to ensure overall client account objectives are being delivered upon.
Independently evaluate annual capital plans and ensure adequate Project Coordinator organizational structure and headcount to successfully deliver on capital plan.
Support recruitment and staffing for the Project Coordinator organization.
Promote and maintain an environment consistent with CBRE values including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
Regularly provide informal updates and formal reports to the Director of Project Management as it relates to metrics within the Project Coordinator organization.
Consistently balance the needs of the customer, employee, and shareholder while meeting organizational objectives.

Develop, implement, and maintain a succession plan for the Project Coordinator Sr Manager position.
Ensure direct, indirect, and / or outsourced service providers and vendors provide consistent, high-quality services.
Ensure assigned work group fosters healthy relationships with external consultants and vendors while holding them accountable in delivering their scope of work in a timely and consistent fashion.
Support CBRE / Turner & Townsend initiatives by participating on steering committees as required. Additionally, ensure smooth transition of initiatives into your assigned work group.
Possess ability to create effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and senior leadership.
Possess ability to solve advanced problems resulting from complex situations.
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of construction practices and workflow required.
+ Previous experience in a leadership role required.
