How will you make an impact in this role?
The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day. The Lending, Analytics, and Beyond the Card Products Team within U.S. Consumer Services manages a suite of lending & non-card products including Pay Over Time, Personal Loans, Plan It, Line, MyCredit Guide, and Insurance. This team also manages pricing strategies & capabilities and data & analytics for the US Consumer business.
Within Lending, Analytics, and Beyond the Card Products, the U.S. Insurance Team owns a portfolio of No Additional Charge (NAC) and fee-based insurance products and services for customers across the Consumer, Small Business and Corporate portfolios, totaling $170M in Revenue.
The Sr Manager, NAC Product Management, will play a pivotal role on this specific benefit vertical providing valuable insurance and non-insurance services and protections to 60 million Card Members. The Sr Manager will manage 9 protection products in the Retail and Travel verticals. This includes managing and creating the strategic vision for the NAC book of business focused on continuous product innovation, improving customer experience, and all core aspects of product management (e.g., P&L management, engagement strategies, customer sentiment, performance reporting, and complaint tracking), product strategy (e.g., value proposition definition, product refresh), and external partnership management, to offer these key products. This role requires close collaboration across American Express, including Card Product teams, Amex Assurance Company, Technologies, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Amex Travel, Finance and Servicing.
This is a great opportunity to not only get hands-on experience maintaining innovative products embedded across a wide portfolio of consumer and commercial cards, but also to hone knowledge and expertise in managing products and strategic partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
+ Define and manage the NAC product strategy and roadmap to align with business goals and objectives.
+ Effectively manage the P&L and execute high-priority COCMs reduction strategies and broader product efficiency initiatives.
+ Partner with internal and external partners and stakeholders to lead contract negotiations and achieve joint business objectives.
+ Lead critical product lifecycle workstreams, managing initiatives from ideation to successful delivery or sunset decisions, within established timeframes.
+ Oversee operational excellence and issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective solutions, and ensuring products comply with regulations.
+ Build a robust reporting framework to monitor KPIs to assess product performance and provide insights.
+ Lead a direct report in NAC through product workstreams, including market research, competitive analysis, customer sentiment (NPS, RFT, complaints), invoice process, and monthly reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of work experience.

Qualifications
Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
