    Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and help shape the future of medical imaging? Our multidisciplinary engineering crew is on the lookout for a summer intern who’s eager to get hands-on with mechanical design, prototyping, and testing. You’ll collaborate with a team that’s passionate about building technology that truly makes a difference in healthcare. If you love solving puzzles and enjoy turning ideas into reality, this is the adventure for you!

    What you’ll be up to during your 10-12 week adventure:

    + Dive into 3D Mechanical CAD design and create 2D mechanical drawings (yes, you get to play with SolidWorks!)

    + Analyze, prototype, and test out mechanical concepts—using both traditional machining and cool 3D printing techniques

    + Help write technical reports and share your findings with the team (don’t worry, we love clear, straightforward communication)

    + Collaborate with a team of engineers from all sorts of backgrounds—your ideas matter here!

    + Support lifecycle changes, including end-of-life replacements for our imaging equipment

    Who we’re hoping to meet:

    + You can work full-time during the summer (May/June - August/September).

    + You’re currently working on your Bachelor’s degree, with at least one semester left after the internship.

    + Your major is Mechanical Engineering, or something closely related.

    + You’re heading into your junior or senior year.

    + You know how to get your point across, whether you’re writing or speaking.

    + You’re a resourceful problem-solver who isn’t afraid to take initiative.

    + You have experience with 3D solid modeling design tools (SolidWorks and PDM Works, specifically).

    + You’re familiar with mechanical drafting principles and product design fundamentals.

    + You’ve tried your hand at 3D fabrication, machining, or sheet metal work.

    Location, pay & other important details:

    + You can work **onsite** at our **Marlborough, MA campus** . **Heads up:** intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends aren’t provided, so you’ll need to have your living situation and transportation sorted out.

    + Pay range: $26 - $28 per hour, based on your class standing and operational function.
