    Position Overview

    MercyOne Waterloo/Cedar Falls Behavioral Health Care is seeking a dedicated **Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)** with **Psychiatric Mental Health certification** to join our established, well-respected, and growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy **instant volume** and collaborate with a strong multidisciplinary team.

    Practice Highlights

    + Join an **established, well-respected, and growing practice** .

    + **Current team:**

    + 1 General Psychiatrist

    + 1 Child Psychiatrist

    + 1 Psych Hospitalist

    + 1 ARNP

    + **Clinic-based role** with shared call responsibilities.

    + **Call schedule:**

    + Weekday: 1:5*

    + Weekend: 1:7*(*subject to change)Includes consults and inpatient unit coverage.

    + **Facilities:**

    + 20-bed Inpatient Unit at Waterloo Medical Center

    + Horizons Chemical Dependency Unit

    + Large support staff of psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions.

    + Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic responses.

    + Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.

    + Provide patient education and support for families.

    + Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

    Qualifications

    + Current Iowa license as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).

    + **Psychiatric Mental Health certification required** .

    + Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry strongly desired.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Schedule & Compensation

    + **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, with shared call as noted above.
